Book description
Have you ever wondered what would happen if the dead came back to the land of the living? What if those dead, your relatives and loved ones, returned not as ghosts but as mechanical dolls? What could go wrong?
These mechanical dolls, inhabited by your relatives and loved ones, lead us down a dangerous road.
If you are interested, then please follow me to the city of New Albion. We will travel through many generations to see the effects of Annabel raising the dead.
This tale will teach you the horrible consequences that go hand in hand with raising the dead, in any way. We will see slums full of the living dead, a civil war, the rise of a cult.
Even an albino tribe that can travel through time. New Albion is not just a city, no, New Albion is where the line between science and magic is completely blurred.
Does fate dictate the course of events, or is everything left up to chance?
This book is a fan fiction novel based on the New Albion Tetralogy created by Paul Shapera, all characters, locations, and events are copyrighted by Paul Shapera.

I’m excited to dive into this fan fiction novel, let the adventure begin!
I am glad that you are excited, the adventure will start on 24 November, a new chapter will be released each week!
I’m glad to see content based on Paul Shapera’s work, as it is criminally underrated, in my opinion. How did you first hear of him and his tetralogy?
I actually stumbled upon it by accident, now, I love it!
Nice.
Looks like a nice description, book seems interesting
I hope you will like it!
>horrible consequences
Uh oh!
Sounds interesting indeed!
When does raising the dead not have horrible consequences?
A new story? but how do you do it all? I’m curious to see how it all turns out.
I can stop time.
I’m already looking forward to going on a road for uncovering dangers of necromancy.
Steampunk necromancy, coming right up!
I liked the works of Paul Shaper, it will be interesting to read this as well.
I will let you know when the first chapter hits Royal Road!
Those mechanical dolls come with an off switch right?
Nope, you can only destroy them!
Albion…. this name… I only now an old PC game called Albion. Didn’t finish it, not sure why 😀
I wonder what Albion means
yes i know this game too but i played it really long long time ago on amiga 500+ as a kid. but i remember it a little still and remember i enjoyed it much, that time i also played more games like this, for example darksun1 and 2..
I know the name of that game as well! Isn’t the land In Fable also called Albion?
I’m always interested in horror contents.
I think you will be interested in this book.
Is it your new book? I didn’t know this, when i googled it found mostly music, steampunk music, i’m always interesed in finding interesting new music so thanks, i will listed more later 🙂 I also like steampunk, btw have you played Arcanum rpg pc game (by Troika)?
Yes, it is a music album spanning four albums in one story, with countless side stories that tie in, other major stories and more. One of these stories is called The Dolls of New Albion. Basically, I am writing a fan fiction, a whole big book about a music album. That is right, from those songs, my brain, made a book, and I will be sharing the beginning on 24 November!
Nice, thank you!
You are welcome.
That book cover is a blast!
It is a combination of Paul Shapera’s copyrighted cover which I use in the name of fan fiction (this is legally allowed if you share it in an open domain like Royal Road and state it is not your own work, which I did.) and some work my wife did.
