Introduction
We are delving into the world of Idle games! Today we are going to look at Blade Idle, is this game truly idle, or do you need to pay up? There is only one way to find out. You’ll become a mighty warrior who is going to fell dozens of monsters while upgrading a lot of gear. Can you attain godly gear and increase your damage? There will not be a story in this game, as it is all about going rampant on monsters and gathering their loot!
What did I think before playing Blade Idle?
I was actually busy reviewing another game called Idle Slayer, from whom a review has aired recently, when this ad came by, and I was like, huh, that does not look too bad. Thus, I downloaded the game, the graphics looked alright, it did not push itself on me too much with fake ads. Just an idle game where you will need to upgrade a lot of gear while also idling to level up. Since I wanted further information, I decided to check the Google Play Store!

One of the first things I noticed was the costumes, these are usually expensive and games want you to pay up. This is something I am going to pay attention too, can you earn the costumes without paying? All in all, I got a good feeling from this game. It seems there are many features and as you grind and idle on, more features will be unlocked to upgrade your character to increase your damage!

The only weird thing is the name, at first, I thought they spelled it wrong, and it was called Idle Blade, but, nope.
Gameplay
The first thing I noticed, is that I got showered with gifts as a new player to get started. Huzzah! Then, I went to check out the costumes, not only can you become a fashion victim, just owning these costumes will make your character stronger! They will cost diamonds, but the game gives you enough premium currency to actually buy all the costumes and skins by just completing some missions, making sure you will not have to pay up, or grind for them.
Leveling up can go pretty fast in the beginning, but it will slow down quite a lot. However, if you just idle for a while, your character will have killed countless monsters. Your character will choose a level that you can beat swiftly with your current stats. These are usually halfway marks, or the end of a world. As you grow stronger, more and more features unlock, with gold you can upgrade stats, and with level ups, you will unlock many stat points, along with new skills!
You will soon unlock a lot of good gear that you need to enhance and roll for even better stats! Then you will unlock dungeons, soon you will even get pets that will also help you in battle. There are plenty of ways to become stronger, like taking on a challenge that will boost your stats significantly. Then there are emblems, insignia’s, rolling for mythic or godly stat upgrades, joining a guild, playing in the arena, and a lot more! And you will get decent rewards without paying or even watching ads.

I rate the gameplay of Blade Idle with an 8.4
If you are looking for a decent idle game, then this is a perfect one, it has a good balance of things to do, idle, and not having to pay up at all.
Sound and Graphics
Graphics
The graphics look a bit cartoonish, there are many biomes that your character will visit. If you just want to look, put on the auto-button and enjoy as your character goes wild! There is a time limit for each level, thus the bigger the levels get, the harder the game gets, it might be best if you upgrade your movement speed! But you also need attack and defense. The HUD looks good, it might take a few hours to get where everything is as you unlock even more features.
Sound
The sound effects might get a bit annoying as you hear monsters get chopped up a lot. But the soundtrack was actually enjoyable. Just sit back, and enjoy the game as your character awaits your upgrade tactics!

I rate the sound and graphics of Blade Idle with a 6.9
While it might not be the best thing ever, it looks cute, those pets do look amazingly cute.
What did I think after playing Blade Idle?
What I enjoyed most about this game is that it will let you advance without paying or watching ads. However, you can pay, but it is not necessary. The game gives you everything you need. It even has an auto-summon feature for if you have amassed an insane number of diamonds. It seems, many extra features await me as I progress in this game!
I like the sweep version of dungeons, you can get extra tickets by watching ads, but it is not needed at all, just a bonus. It allows you to gain numerous rewards from dungeons by taking the highest floor or chapter you have reached. The game does give you many free ways to get new cards for sweeping, for example, in events.

I rate Blade Idle with a 7.5 after playing.
If you are looking for a fun, true idle game, then this is actually a good game! You can go AFK, and come back to great rewards as your character chooses the best level to grind on! Then you can break through to the next best stage with your new gear.
What are my personal thoughts about Blade Idle?
I actually enjoyed the costumes, I made my character fight in a swimsuit, why? Because it is unlogical, and that is why I liked it, oh no a big giant monster, now face me in my swimwear!

It is always fun to go to sleep, and when you wake up, check on the rewards your character has gathered! What did you find, tonight, anything, shiny?

The usual concept is paywall while the alternative is to watch an extreme amount of ads. It's an Interesting concept that you can gain most of the content without having to pay. The style of the gameplay did not catch my attention, I'm more of a fan of the more minimalistic style idle games, like adventure capitalist. Still, the fact that users don't have to pay for the full content with either money or tasks is a great concept.

I'm glad you finally found a decent idle game, it must be a breath of fresh air after all the other mediocre ones! Though, I hope this game will continue to be as it is...in my experience, the longer games and services like this go on, the more likely it is that they'll get more demanding in regards to the money they can get from players.
