Introduction
Today we are going to look at a game called Dreamdale, it is your goal to save the princess and build your own kingdom. However, saving the princess is not the endgame content, rather it is only the start. But before you can save the princess, you will learn that this game has a lot to offer. There is not a real story, you will explore islands and collect more resources.
What did I think before playing Dreamdale?
I was looking for a game that worked a bit like Forager, where you collect loot and use that loot to unlock new islands. Which in turn unlocks more resources, however it seems there is not a lot of building involved, more like forced building and a very linear path. It seemed like this game had plenty of fun things to do. Chopping wood and gaining new tools while making new buildings. It all seemed like a fun game to explore. I was mostly interested in how much backpack space you would have or storage. Since you need this many materials to progress. Without further ado, I started playing.
Rating
I rated Dreamdale with a 7.3 before playing. All in all, it looked like a decent game, I just hoped there would not be much micro transactions.
Gameplay
The game starts out quite simple, once you have completed the tutorial, you will need to start building up your kingdom, bit by bit. This is also where most of the problems come in. I had expected this game to be a free building game, but once you have gone through the tutorial, you soon will learn that this whole game is linear. There is no free building at all, you will have to follow the path the developer designed.
To build new houses, storage, mines, whatever, you are going to need to numerous resources. Many of the places are resource sinks. However, there is one huge resource sink that you will unlock later on. You will be interrupted by ads all the frigging time. Once you have made one purchase, these will stop. However, if you want a pet, ad, do you want faster loot? Ad. Everywhere you go, more ads!
There are many gameplay mechanics, for example dungeons, but once you get a decent weapon, you can one shot every enemy, even the weapon without properly upgrading it. This makes the dungeon only a place to just, run through, but your character moves very slow. So, you will need a ride, thus, another ad. This will go on forever, there are so many microtransactions and ads, I made a video, this was after I paid ten euros to make the most annoying ads go away.

I rated the gameplay of Dreamdale with a 4.0.
Not only are there many bugs, one which made most of my epic gear vanish.
Sound and Graphics
Graphics
The graphics of Dreamdale are all over the place, some graphics are great, while others are very low quality. It is tough to rate a game like this. The buildings look very basic, but you can upgrade your own house with decoration. There are also many resources and creatures too. The dungeons have multiple variants.
Sound
The soundtracks are okay but nothing special. It does feel like it is in one big loop, but the ads interrupt the music a lot. There was a decent amount of sound effects, though.
Rating
I rated the sound and graphics of Dreamdale with a 6.6
While these graphics are not the best, they are also not the worst.
What did I think after playing Dreamdale?
At first, this game was pretty fun to play. Even though the ads were shoved down my throat along with the microtransactions. You could even let minions get the resources for you, but the storage is always full, no matter how much you are going to upgrade it. This was a constant problem as I progressed through the game.
You will also have some combat related content, but it feels very tedious and dull as there is zero balance. One weapon could have a thousand DPS, while a weapon that looks almost the same only has about 50 DPS. That weapon will be useless once you have acquired better gear, but it could always vanish on you like it did with me, and then you are basically screwed.

What are my personal thoughts about Dreamdale?
I loved this game in the beginning, but then new updates added insane missions, many bugs, vanishing items. Basically, a wasted 10 euros for ads be gone, as you can see in the video, still loads of ads.

- Build a storage unit and send your minions off to work
- Many different dungeons to play through
- You can level up your tools and farm even more
- You can decorate your own house where the princess lives
Cons
- The soundtracks are on a loop, this gets annoying
- There are a lot of macro transactions
- Many bugs which can corrupt your items
- The storage is always full, no matter how much you gold spend on it
- Some weapons are so overpowered they can kill all bosses in one hit
- Getting wool and eggs is really hard
- There is bad communication about the roadmap and bug fixes
- Very linear gameplay, there is zero free play
While this game might seem fun, and it is, there are many pushes to get you to buy things. And some missions require you to farm insane amounts of items.

It was advertised as a no ads game? Who ever is makinng ads for these google play games needs to be sued hard. False advertising is illegal!

Same as those game ads that will be like, enter this code and get 1000 free summons, and earn all the SSSR or whatever tier they are going for, characters. You usually do get ten free draws or something, but usually it's quite crap.
