Introduction
Today we are going to look at a blatant Pokémon rip-off called Idle Micromon. What do you need to do in this game? Well, that is what we are going to find out. How pay to win is this game? There is only one way to find out, there will not be a story in this review.
What did I think before playing Idle Micromon?
While I have not been a huge fan of Pokémon for some time now, this game did look appealing to me. Maybe because of the idle aspect, or perhaps it just looked fun. It is clear this game is trying to stop their game from being pulled down for copyright infringement, skipping that, I am going to check the Google Play Page.

You can see in how this game is described that it is done by a translator, which looks very funny and awkward. I wondered if this would be in all places of the game. You seem to mostly need to catch Pokémon in this game, no time to waste, let’s catch some Pokémon.

I rated Idle Micromon with a 6.6 before playing.
While this game did not seem like something epic, it did look like something that would be fun.
Gameplay
The gameplay of this game is very simple, you have to get to a new stage by training your Pokémon. They can only level up as your character levels up. If you go away and idle for a while, you will get a load of rewards. You will need premium currency, diamonds to either upgrade your bag, Pokémon, or other slots. Otherwise, you will not be able to carry everything
As you continue through the game you will unlock new modes, but most importantly, ways to gain more diamonds. However, if you want to make progress, you will need to fez up money. Which is always a bad thing. You can see from many things in this game that this is just a copy of Pokémon sprites.
If you want to capture new Pokémon, you can use the hunting feature. However, most of these Pokémon will be low tier. If you want a chance at a good Pokémon, you will have to gather diamonds and try your luck with the Gachapon.

I rated the gameplay of Idle Micromon with a 6.0
While it can be fun, it is a blatant rip-off.
Sound and Graphics
Graphics
The graphics are pretty horrendous to be fair, it looks pixelated, out of focus, and the sprites are all jumbled in places. It is clear that is because these sprites are copied from somewhere.
Sound
You will almost hear the same soundtrack on repeat, with no sound effects, this was horrible.
Rating
I rated the sound and graphics of Idle Micromon with a 2.2.
This was the worst part of the game!
What did I think after playing Idle Micromon?
What irritated me the most was the energy system in this game. While you do get rewards for idling, you cannot keep on challenging levels. This means it will go extremely slow, leaving you behind while your Pokémon keep growing stronger, even one-hitting the opponents while you need to wait to enter the next stage.

I rated Idle Micromon with a 3.3 after playing.
The energy system, along with the pay to win, aspects, bothered me.
What are my personal thoughts about Idle Micromon?
While I did enjoy some aspects of this game, most of it was just, junk, and trying to get people hooked to pay.

- There are quite some things to do in this game
Cons
- This game wants you to spend a lot of dough
- The sound and graphics are horrible
- Most of the sprites look out of place
- There is an annoying energy limit
- There is not enough space to keep your items
If you ask me, it might be better to avoid this game.
