The buzz around its unique gameplay loop and strong narrative pulled me in, and while it quickly became an engaging experience, there were definitely a few frustrations along the way that kept me on my toes.

I didn’t know this had a mobile version. I got it on Epic a while ago, but didn’t get around playing it yet. The art style isn’t really my type (not the pixel art, I like that, but rather the color palette that doesn’t look too appealing to me – although unique, making it quite recognizable).
I didn’t know the gameplay was like that, thought the “loop” was just die-and-retry. Really interesting.
It can be hard to get used to, and it is indeed grim.
Game is sensationally good and what very important for me unique. With its original formula it is really appealing. I think retro graphics are cute too (although many retro games had better gfx, but nevertheless i like it, its stylish). I’m yet to play it (missed it when it was free for the first time on epic but now i have it) but i think it is really great game and something i might like 🙂 Thanks for reviewing this game, i knew from other opinions that it is probably good but now after reading your review about all aspects of it im even more convinced i should try it 🙂 Whatmore mobile version is also good and this not so obvious.

At first I was impressed by the very nice pixel art style of the game. The more I played the game I got more and more captured by its simplicity but also by the nice features and tile combinations! Back then it was MY game of the year!

Loop Hero is pretty fun to play, but I agree, the difficulty spikes are real, and in particular the grind is pretty brutal! Still, I do plan to come back to this one at some point!
