Introduction
Today we are going to take a look at an arena shooter called Crossbow Bloodnight. All you need to do in this game is survive. While that might sound easy. It really is not that simple, as hordes of monsters are going to try and take you down. The only weapon you will have is, well, a crossbow! There is no story in this game, so there won’t be a story section in this review!
What did I think before playing crossbow bloodnight?
This was a game that was requested from a developer a while ago, I did not have time yet to review this game yet. Finally, I had time to do this review! All that I know about this game was that I needed to shoot stuff with a crossbow, and presumable run around like an idiot. As that is what you do in most first-person shooter games. It seemed that there would not many enemy types, only six, but survival would be hard as you only have a crossbow. It all seemed quite simple to me, you have a crossbow, shoot things until you die, repeat. But who knows, I might be wrong! It also mentioned something about a special attack. Without further ado, I started the hunt!

I rate Crossbow Bloodnight with a 5.5 before playing.
It seems like a very simple game that you might want to play if you got it in a bundle you wanted anyway.
Gameplay
As you enter the game, there is no tutorial, or even something that shows you what buttons to use. Luckily it comes very easy, run, jump and shoot like an idiot but for some reason, it worked best for me if I just focused on dodging the enemy attack instead of trying to kill them. With the shift button, it seemed you could dodge almost any attack!
While you are running around, you can fire insane amounts of crossbow bolts! However, the enemies will crush you in a few seconds. Even the small bats. Which means you will need to look at the air as well. The bats come out of weird enemies which can only be killed by hitting shooting it in the eye!
If you are surrounded by enemies, you can use your special attack after it has charged up. This will take out a large amount of enemies, this is a great way to escape if you are cornered. It can also be used in a run in which you do not fire your bow to clear a way.

I rate the gameplay of Crossbow Bloodnight with a 3.1.
The gameplay is very boring, and I was done with it in five minutes. Which can already be an awful lot of dying!
Sound and Graphics
Graphics
The graphics were very minimalistic, the main focus has been put on the crossbow, but that is exactly where I am not looking at, The enemies have simple designs. Not that you will see them a lot, since you will be dead most of the time, each attack will instantly kill you.
Sound
The sound is just one soundtrack on repeat, it is very boring, the sound effects were not fun at all.
Rating
I rate the sound and graphics of Crossbow Bloodnight with a 2.7.
If you are looking for a pretty game, you are looking in the wrong place.
What did I think after playing Crossbow Bloodnight after playing?
This game got on my nerves very fast, within five minutes, you have seen everything this game has to offer you. Within ten minutes you are already bored, after fifteen minutes, you are asking why did I even buy this game. After a half hour, you will be asking yourself how can I get back that lost time?
If you are interested in arena games, it is better to look somewhere else. This game only has one crossbow, not even different crossbows!

This game was very boring, I did manage to get a decent survival time by doing nothing but dodging. Which is not the idea of a arena shooter game.

This game might be fun, but not for more than twenty minutes, it is time to look at a different game!
