Hungry Dragon Review

The fire also makes my screen wobbly!

Hungry Dragon Review

Introduction

Are you hungry for another review? Because the dragons are hungry for everything! This is a spin-off from the Hungry Shark games, no sharks in this game, instead you will be flying as you devour everything in your path! Something not to your taste? Roast it with your fire breath! It is once again your goal to evolve your dragon to insane proportions! Not only have the bigger dragons more strength and abilities, they also can eat bigger prey! There is no story in this game, all you need to do is eat, eat and eat more!

What did I think before playing Hungry Dragon?

The previous two shark games were a lot of fun, getting the big shark and going medieval on everyone’s ass! Then, I found out there was a spin-off with dragons! All I wondered was, would this game also make my screen go wobbly? There was only one way to find out, I would need to unlock one of the biggest dragons and go on a rampage! For more information, I went to the play store!

The Play store page

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.hungrydragon&hl=en&gl=US
The trailer was funny, it lured me to the game, I wanted to roast a goblin too! The page once again mentions the returns of pets, I wonder how these would work in this game! Off course, we wanted to unlock legendary dragons, we need to make the screen go wobbly! Once again, there would be a small world to explore while roasting everyone. It was time to level up some dragons!

Rating

I rate Hungry Dragon with an 8.1 before playing.
To be honest, this game seemed much better at first compared to the other games!

Gameplay

Once again, you start with a small dragon that you need to level, once it is leveled, you can unlock the new dragon. To level up your new small dragon, you will need to go insane while eating everything in your way! This time around, it is much easier to get pets, as you can just collect eggs in the open world and incubate them. This time around, you do not even have to purchase them with gems! Which you can gather by eating flying pigs!

Once you have leveled up a few dragons, you can also unlock skins. These can be purchased with coins, these skins will give you new powers. If you want the best skin, you will need to buy it with gems. If you are further into the game, you can also earn skins by killing a giant octopus boss! It makes the screen go wobbly too! To beat the giant octopus, you will need legendary dragons and have them upgraded. Legendary dragons can be leveled with gems and coins.

The best way to gain coins in this game is to complete missions, these are not dragon bound like with the shark games. This time, you have missions that are randomly generated, however some can only be completed by special dragons. If you do not have that dragon, you can reset the mission. If you have bought the full version for a small price, you can reset missions infinitely until you get the ones that you want. The more dragons you have unlocked, the more coins you will gain upon completing a mission, they will also get harder!

Rating

I rate the gameplay of Hungry Dragon with an 8.2.
There is a lot to do in this game, there is also temple mode which has you complete small puzzles. This game has much better mechanics compared to the shark game.

Sound and Graphics

Graphics

While there are a lot of fun dragons to choose from, the graphics are quite wobbly! The different areas are fun to explore, but after roaming through the world dozens of time, you should know the way. If you are looking for gems, you should visit the shadow cave, a lot of flying pigs can be found there! Make sure to bring baby pets, they will increase your odds at getting more gems!

Sound

The sound is always annoying in mobile games, this one is no different. It is better to mute the game and listen to your own music!

Rating

I rate the sound and graphics of Hungry Dragon with a 6.4.
Make the screen go wobbly!

What did I think after playing Hungry Dragon?

It was very fun to unlock the bigger dragons again, however it is easier to unlock the legendary dragons with gems instead of progressing all that way. Getting your first 100 gems is not that to do. Once you have a legendary dragon, the game can really begin! If you use a certain glitch, you can even beat Octoni then, which will grant you a few hundred gems!

Incubating eggs take six hours, but beating octoni will hatch a few pets for you instantly. This will also grant you a few free skins. This is the best way to gain gems. If you have played the Hungry Shark games, you will also get an awesome shark pet! Are you ready to eat some annoying goblins and humans? Do not forget to eat the sheep!

Rating

I rate Hungry Dragon with a 7.7 after playing.
If you are looking for a decent mobile game, this is one that is worth checking out!

What are my personal thoughts about Hungry Dragon?

This game was a lot more fun than I had expected, while the shark games are fun, this game is much better!

Rating

My personal Rating of Hungry Dragon is a 7.7
Time to roast a goblin!

Pros

Cons

If you buy one of the legendary dragons with gems, I advise the T-rex or armadillo one! They have amazing abilities to gain coins and gems very fast!
