Parkasaurus revamped review

Why can't we just make herbivore only parks!?

Parkasaurus revamped review

Introduction

Today we are going to revamp another review, Parkasaurus! There are more dinosaurs, new things to build, more hats, and plenty of bug fixes. Now that this game has been fixed up, should you play it? Of course, you want to play it because it has dinosaurs, and you build a lovely park! In this review, we are going to focus on if this game has improved, we will be playing with the two new DLC’s that have released, prehistoric monsters, and sea dinosaurs. There will not be a story in this review.

What did I think before replaying Parkasaurus?

I am glad to see that Parkasaurus has been getting more love from the developers. There have been plenty of bug fixes, but most of all, more dinosaurs! Who does not love more dinosaurs? I really like the Dire Wolves. I also liked them in Ark, I am seeing a pattern here. Why do these wolves have to be so darn cute? Oh well, to the Steam page.

The Steam Page

The Steam page is very welcoming and has an expansive list of what you can expect from this game, I am already looking forward to replaying this game. With the new DLC, and the new bug fixes, this will be a fun and wild ride. I just hope, the T. Rex does not escape again and eat the guests. No bad T. rex, do not eat that guests, oh he complained about the park, carry on.

Rating

I rated Parkasaurus with a 9.4 before playing.
Sea dinosaurs! Oh, and there are dire wolves, and dodos, and, never mind, just go play the game.

Gameplay

There is a lot of managing in Parkasaurus, it would be weird if that was not the case since it is a park management game. And in this management game you will need to manage your guests, your dinosaurs, and all those darned shops that pollute the place. The guests will never stop complaining, no matter how many toilets you put down. As your park grows, you will need more employees.

There is enough room to build plenty of dinosaur enclosures, but make sure to make them big enough. Otherwise, you are going to have sad dinosaurs. And by any means, you do not want sad dinosaurs because if you have sad dinosaurs they will escape and if they escape they are going to ear your guests. And that will lower the rating of your park.

As you grow your park, you will unlock more dinosaurs, but you also need science points to get better items for your dinosaur. Otherwise, the higher tier dinosaurs will not be happy. If you really want a lot of cash, you should just finish the science tree and cash in your extra science points, and before you know it, you can dig up all the dinosaurs you want. There is a neat trick to getting more money, put up donation boxes but make all the items free in the shops to attract people. And don’t put your highest dinosaur in the back of the park.

Rating

I rated the gameplay of Parkasaurus with a 9.1
A lot of the bugs have been fixed, including the guest problem and the problem that made computers crash. There is even a fun mission mode if you are into that, or sandbox mode if you want to be creative.

Sound and Graphics

Graphics

The graphics have not changed much but there have been polished dinosaurs, there are also some new hats. And for the people who disliked the cheesy dinosaurs, you can now change your dinosaurs to a realistic version. Hurray, now everyone is happy with whatever dinosaurs you like the best.

Sound

The soundtracks have been upgraded a lot, I enjoy them and after a while they will be stuck in your head. And the sound effects are superb, some roars are a bit on the loud side, though. That is mostly if you zoom in too much. Otherwise, it is okay.

Rating

I rated the graphics and the soundtracks of Parkasaurus with an 8.6.
It has been improved a lot, the dinosaurs have been polished, and you can switch to realistic dinosaurs, which is a big plus for a lot of p[people.

What did I think after playing Parkasaurus?

I loved making a new park with wolves, and then I made another park that had a lot of good tier four dinosaurs, including an enclosure that can hold over fifty dinosaurs. But I only put in about ten crocodiles from the sea DLC.  These crocodiles boosted the reputation of my park by a lot and all the guests came to look at them. But, the dinosaurs at the entrance still earned me the most bucks.

There is a whole new mechanic with making the sea basin because you will need to make a deep hole that is filled with water, it also comes with a new wall. This wall does allow for a lot of privacy for the dinosaur. Otherwise, they are going to complain, and then they will break free from the enclosure. But I do wonder if the plesiosaurus will escape, is it going to swim on land? Oh, dear that is a question I want answered, look, I can see a turtle escape and running in slow motion after one of the guests! That is plausible.

Rating

I rated Parkasaurus with an 8.9 after playing.
There are a lot of new mechanics to try out, and hats of course, but getting money is fairly easy once you have got all the skills. However, there is now also a hard mode if you want a true challenge, but this hard mode will be extremely challenging.

What are my personal thoughts about Parkasaurus??

I enjoyed the game a loot more this time compared to the last time. All the bug fixes are great, and now the guests actually walk through the park. However, some dinosaurs will get ignored, which is sad, but if you make an appealing path, then the guests will donate for every dinosaur. There are, of course, the missions, these are a lot of fun.

Rating

My personal Rating of Parkasaurus is an 8.4.
I am glad they fixed a lot of the problems and the new dinosaurs are fun to boot!

Last Words

Pros

Cons

I wonder if more dinosaurs will be added in the future, whatever the case is, you can thoroughly enjoy this park managing game with dinosaurs, and hats.

  9. It is interesting game 🙂 i had chance to play very early beta of this game and did have problems with designing some buildings, it was over complicated and things were blocking.. so i not played long and i'm a guy who still still remember and loved classic theme park game, it is interesting to see how those mechanics work now.
