Introduction
Today we are going to look at one of the original switch games, Super Mario Odyssey! Are you ready to collect loads of power moons, as there seems to have been a Costco sale of them, there are 999 power moons to collect! You will visit many kingdoms to gather these power moons! Some of them can be gained by weird ways, like rope jumping! This time, you will also have cappy, which means you will get the ability to possess enemies!
What did I think before playing Super Mario Odyssey?
Super Mario Odyssey sounded like a fun game, I had hoped that it would be like Super Mario Galaxy! However, the main reason that I wanted to play this game, there is a T-Rex! You can also possess the T-Rex and go insane on all the chomps that are walking around! For more information on this game, we went to the Nintendo Page!

It is time for a fun sandbox adventure that can also be enjoyed with another player to help you. You will need to capture/possess 52 different enemies eventually! Otherwise, you will not be able to get all the power moons! Using Cappy you can perform new kinds of jumps to reach new areas! You can also buy clothing and dress up Mario, or even make him invisible!

Story
The story of Super Mario Odyssey is, once again, Peach being kidnapped. This is getting quite old, Bowser has kidnapped Peach and wants to marry her. As Mario, it is your job to stop this from happening.
Does anyone ever think that Peach likes getting kidnapped? What better way to spend the time than having someone save you?

Gameplay
It is Super Mario, you run, jump and stunt your way to Power Moons! This time, however, you also have cappy, which will let you possess many enemies that you will encounter, including that T-Rex that I mentioned earlier! Some Power Moons are up for grabs, while others are hidden fairly well.
For some other power moons you will need to solve puzzles, while doing so you will also collect a lot of coins, these can be used to purchase upgrades like extra health or new outfits! You will travel to many kingdoms, there you will also encounter powerful bosses! Eventually you might even reach the moon, or the gauntlet that it holds!
A good tip to get to 999 power moons, you will need to buy some of them in the shops in each kingdom! Get out there and catch them all, or better said, take over their souls temporarily!

I rate the gameplay of Super Mario Odyssey with a 9.3!
If there is something this game does good, it is the gameplay, but one big issue is that when you have collected all of them power moons and get a golden ship, there is not much more to do except for messing around and doing nothing!
Sound and Graphics
Graphics
The graphics of Super Mario Odyssey are quite good, there are also a lot of kingdoms with different environments, however, is it just me, or does that T-Rex look quite out of place in a Super Mario world? It is also quite fun to walk around with a Super Mario 64 outfit!
Sound
What can I say? The music is awesome, there is also a lot of variety in soundtracks and sound effects!

What did I think after playing Super Mario Odyssey?
Off course, my wife and I played the whole game together, luckily player 2 can contribute a lot! Some power moons were hard to get, like the gauntlet of the darker side of the moon! There are a lot of kingdoms to visit, which brings a lot of fun areas to explore! We also managed to capture all the enemies at least once, even a Moai statue!
If you are looking for a fun game with Super Mario, this is the perfect game for you! You get to explore a lot of kingdoms! One of the oddest kingdoms was the one that resembles New York, where kind of human like figures walk around! Wait, is Mario not a human? Oh dear god, what has Nintendo done! Well, who cares, we can visit the moon!

What are my personal thoughts about Super Mario Odyssey?
My wife and I did enjoy our playthrough a lot of Super Mario Odyssey, but I do not see myself replaying the game anytime soon. Some power moons fill me with fear on obtaining them again, like some races in the game!

I really wonder where all these kingdoms come from, have they always been there, but we did just not visit them? I wonder if we get to see more of the cascade kingdom in the future!
