Introduction
Today we are going to play another Mobile game that is called SSSnaker, this is a quite unfamiliar take on the snake game that comes closer to a bullet hell. What is the story of this game, well, there is none, all you need to do is complete levels while you grow stronger, and later on, you can even breed some new snakes all with different elements.
What did I think before playing SSSnaker
I actually came across this game accidentally while browsing the Google Play Store and I thought, well, this game looks like a lot of fun, Snake always used to be a fun game! I did not know yet that it was a bullet hell actually, I only found that out later, but snakes are always remarkable, and for more information I decided to check out the Google Play Store.

The Google Play Store just about confirms this is a bullet hell game, with a great variety of monsters and rogue lite elements to boot. This means you can probably grow your snake into enormous proportions while you battle your way through various stages, whom all have their biome and monsters with weaknesses.

Who doesn’t love a good old game of Snake?
Gameplay
The gameplay of SSSnaker consists mostly of entering stages and then slaughtering the helpless monster. Oh, wait, they are not so helpless after all, they shoot and try to eat you alive. The only thing you can do is slaughter them with a myriad of skills and buffs that you will collect as you go through the stages. After the end of a stage, you will no longer have them, or if you die.
While you can gain temporary skills inside the stages, outside you can outfit your snake with weapons, armor, and better tails. And later on, you can even unlock different snakes and take more than one snake with you on a mission, but luckily, they all share the same armor set there is no need to worry about having multiple armor sets. All the snakes have their elements and can be upgraded by playing a mode that sees you slaughter wave after wave of enemies, which will also grant you with gems.
With these gems, you can buy new armor or weapons, that is if you are lucky to get a good one. You can also gamble with snake eggs in the hopes to get a better snake, there is a fail-safe that if you spent too many gems you will get a guaranteed S rank snake. There are also stat increases that you can buy with gold that you collect, these stats can be amplified with amplifiers, but these can be very hard to collect.

While the ads are minimal, and you do not need to buy items to progress, the things you can buy, are costly.
Sound and Graphics
Graphics
The graphics of SSSnaker are actually not bad, some armor even changes your snake, then there are all the different enemies and biomes, along with different snakes. You have all the different weapons and skills, it is certainly impressive for a Mobile game.
Sound
While the soundtracks are fun to listen to and change for every biome, the sound effects get chaotic as hell, see what I did there? Since it is a bullet hell game?

For a Mobile game, I was sincerely impressed by the attention to details.Â
What did I think after playing SSSnaker?
Despite not being an idle game, if you do idle a bit, you get some rewards, but this is not necessary at all, just an extra. If you do not have time to spend your energy, you will always have enough to play new stages, then you can spend these to get extra idle rewards instantly. It is a good way to get upgrade materials for your armor and weapons.
If you have duplicated of your armor and weapons, then you can fuse these together to get even better weapons and armor. As you get further into the game, you are certainly going to need the defense and stat upgrades, since some enemies can hit like a brick. It is better to dodge, but every so often you can just not dodge in time. Luckily , you can take extra snakes with you later in the game, and all of them have different special skills and upgrading one snake sometimes upgrades all the snakes that you use,
Rating
I rated SSSnaker with an 8.5 after playing, this is certainly a very fun game, especially if you played the old school Snake games like I used to do.
What are my personal thoughts about SSSnaker?
I played this game a lot in my spare time, I just enjoyed this game a lot, there were barely any ads, or even things to purchase, and I could just progress at my pace. While upgrading my loot, and then gathering even more loot, it was a bit hard to collect new snakes though, but that evens out because you do get plenty of free gems from events and other resources. Like, for example, every five stages you complete will give you new loot.

Pros
- SSSnaker has many enemies to face while you visit many biomes
- There are plenty of upgrades to collect to strengthen your snakes
- Multiple game modes keep you on your toes
- You get a lot of premium currency for free
- Free rewards for being idle as a bonus
- All different snakes have their strengths and weaknesses
- Free rewards for being idle as a bonus
- A fun rogue lite that you can take with you
Cons
- It can be hard to progress later on as enemies will hit you for an insane amount of damage
- Some events are PVP-based
- It is hard to gather S ranked gear and snakes
Did you know that if you manage to gather three of the same elemental snakes, you can take them with you to get a supreme skill? If you have the luck that it rolls, of course, but if you get, it will ensure your victory against many boss monsters. Unless they are resistant against that type of element, then you have made a poor decision.

I've been a player since April 2023 and all this year I've had much fun with it. I only spent 11 - 12 dollars on it for some upgrades, and I don't plan to spend more on it
It's a bit hard for F2P players, but with enough patience and saving things as gems (they give you a lot) and golden hammers you can gather the S snakes that get released. With the newest updates also you can obtain them by finishing stages
